The first blast from the past for the returning WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show has been revealed.
Old-school wrestling fans will be given a major injection of nostalgia on December 14th as the iconic show makes its return once more at the Nassau Coliseum in New York, the site of the first event back in 1985.
Given the throwback presentation to promote the event, fans are anticipating WWE legends to make cameo appearances throughout the night. According to a new report, one legendary manager looks set to be in attendance.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart is slated to appear at the event. The Mouth of the South was a part of numerous Saturday Night’s Main Event specials over the course of his career, serving as manager for the likes of Terry Funk, Adrian Adonis and The Hart Foundation to name a few.
What Has Been Announced For WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2024?
At the time of writing, 2 matches have been made official for the 37th Saturday Night’s Main Event special. In what is likely to be the main event, Cody Rhodes will put the Undisputed Championship on the line against Kevin Owens. KO has been on a destructive rampage for weeks and took out Randy Orton with a piledriver, leading to Rhodes demanding a match against Owens.
Additionally, the finals of the tournament to crown the first-ever Women’s United States Champion will also take place at the event. The finalists are yet to be determined as the tournament is ongoing on SmackDown.
