John Cena stunned fans by appearing unannounced at Money In The Bank, but it was his promo that really got fans talking.
After heaping praise on UK fans for their passion and dedication, Cena said he had come to Money In The Bank on a mission, and that was to get the powers that be to bring WrestleMania to London.
Naturally, that brought a huge cheer from the crowd, with many believing that Cena wouldn’t have mentioned the spectacular coming to London if it wasn’t at least being talked out. That being said, when asked about Cena’s comments at the post-show press conference, Triple H appeared to be caught by surprise.
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff discussed the prospect of WWE bringing its biggest show of the year to the United Kingdom. The WWE Hall Famer said he could see WrestleMania coming to London within five years.
“If I was going to bet, I would bet we’re gonna see one very soon within five years,” Bischoff said. “It would be at least two years, but yeah, I could see it.”

While all the talk has been of WrestleMania coming to the UK, Bischoff believes there could be a different option staring WWE in the face, which would bring a huge Premium Live Event to London even quicker.
“You know, we’re talking about WrestleMania, and I guess if John Cena mentioned that the UK deserves or should get a WrestleMania that’s one thing,” Bischoff said. “I don’t why they wouldn’t go over there with a different pay-per-view ’cause I think any one of the tentpole pay-per-views that WWE does, for example, the Rumble, could easily play in the UK, and it could be done sooner. I think announcing WrestleMania two years from now is, eh.”
Next up for WWE is SummerSlam which will be taking place in Detroit in August. British fans also won’t have to wait long for another major show with AEW bringing All In to Wembley Stadium on August 27th.
