WWE Hall Of Famer Hails The Usos As The Greatest Tag Team Of All-Time

The Usos walk down the ramp

On the November 11th episode of WWE SmackDown, The New Day challenged The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships in an attempt to hold onto their previous record of 483 days as champions. The previous week, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods explained how important that record was to them and issued a challenge to the current champions.

Surprisingly the match opened the show, but to the surprise of no one, fans were on their feet come the conclusion. In the end, The Usos pulled out the win after hitting their 1-D in mid-air on Kingston as he jumped from the top rope, and Monday, November 14th marked their 484th day as champions, cementing them in the history books as they surpassed the record held by The New Day.

Bully Ray Called The Usos The Greatest Tag Team Of All Time

On the latest episode of Busted Open, legendary tag team wrestler Bully Ray was asked who he thinks is the better team between The Usos and The New Day. Though both teams are undoubtedly great, the WWE Hall of Famer believes The Usos have the edge as they didn’t have a third man to help them to success in the same way The New Day did.

“Well, I’m trying to figure out in my mind who truly is the better team. I got to give it to Jimmy and Jey because they did it on their own. It wasn’t like any type of, you know, variation of Kofi, Xavier, and Big E.”

Continuing, Bully Ray compared The Usos to legendary tag teams of the past, saying that they’re the greatest of all time.

“It’s always been about Jimmy and Jey just like it was always about Bubba and D-Von, just the way it was always about Matt & Jeff, Ax & Smash, Ricky & Robert, Bret & Davey. You name it. The Usos get the nod from me as the greatest tag team of all time right now in the history of the WWE.”

The Usos certainly agree with this assessment, taking to social media on Monday to celebrate their breaking The New Day’s championship record.

“Officially the best team In @wwe …EVER!!!! #WeTheOnes”

Jimmy and Jey won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles back at Money in the Bank 2021 and added the Raw Titles in May 2022.
