The Undertaker will have a familiar foe on the second episode of his upcoming podcast.
It was revealed in April that WWE Hall Of Famer The Undertaker would be launching a new podcast. The podcast will be in conjunction with WWE and Peacock’s streaming deal and will be airing quite soon. While there haven’t been any updates of late regarding who would be on each episode, fans may now know at least one person who’ll be talking stories with The Deadman of Death Valley.
While speaking on The A2theK Wrestling Show, former Intercontinental Champion and Nation of Domination member, The Godfather revealed that he has already shot something for Undertaker’s podcast:
“Undertaker has his own podcast,” Godfather stated. “I don’t know when they’re going to release it, but he has his own podcast where he’s already shot a bunch of episodes and I am the second episode, it’s me and him.”
Godfather has crossed paths with The Deadman multiple times throughout his career. His first match was when Undertaker(Mark Calaway) hadn’t yet entered WWE and was working in Memphis with Jerry Lawler. Calaway was given the ring name Master of Pain and wrestled Godfather in a short match. During WWE’s 20-year celebration for Undertaker, Godfather appeared on WWE’s The Bump and recalled them being friends after their match in Memphis.
After teaming with The Deadman for a while, Godfather admitted that he saw greatness in him:
“Nah, man, he was destined for greatness right from the beginning. I just knew,” he replied. “He was big, athletic, he could talk, and he was very serious about it.”
Undertaker’s last match was the Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. He was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame earlier this year and made appearances on both nights of WrestleMania in Dallas. Though his career may be over, The Deadman is sure to remain active in retirement.
