WWE Hall Of Famer Teases In-Ring Return To Mark 25th Anniversary

WWE Hall Of Famer Teases In-Ring Return To Mark 25th Anniversary

A notable WWE Hall of Famer could be on course for a comeback to mark a career milestone.

On an episode of SmackDown in June 2000, Trish Stratus made her in-ring debut teaming with Test and Albert to take on The Hardys and Lita.

In the years that followed, Stratus won the Women’s Championship 7 times, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013 and is regarded as one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time.

Despite the fact that Stratus has not competed in the ring since her cage match against Becky Lynch at Payback 2023, the Hall of Famer has never stated that she has retired and has often teased a return match down the road. With the former Women’s Champion still able to put on great matches, fans are anticipating at least one more match from Stratus.

Speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Stratus noted that 2025 will be her 25th anniversary and once again hinted that fans may see her back in the ring:

Possibly. I imagine at some point. I don’t know what I’ll be doing in a wrestling ring, but I can’t imagine I won’t be in a wrestling ring. It is my 25th anniversary after all. So, yeah.

Following their interaction at Money in the Bank, fans are hoping that a match between Stratus and Tiffany Stratton could be a possibility if the Hall of Famer does return.

Trish Stratus Once Turned Down Return Pitch

Although Stratus has made multiple returns since her 2006 retirement, the Hall of Famer was not always in agreement with what the company had planned for her. In an interview with Inside The Ropes, Trish Stratus explained why she rejected a WWE return pitch in 2009.

Also in the interview, Trish Stratus praised a recent WWE creative move.
