WWE Hall Of Famer “Surprised” Trinity Joined IMPACT Wrestling

Trinity Fatu Naomi

Prior to arriving in IMPACT Wrestling, Trinity was linked with just about every major wrestling promotion going.

There had been speculation that she could return to WWE, join her long-time friend Mercedes Mone in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, or even jump to AEW. However, when the star finally returned to wrestling, she did so with IMPACT, making a surprise appearance at the April 28th tapings.

The move came as a shock to many, as while IMPACT’s roster is growing all of the time and is home to an ever-increasing number of talented wrestlers, it remains a long way behind the likes of WWE and AEW in terms of popularity.

Speaking on his podcast, Grilling JR, WWE Hall of Famer and AEW announcer Jim Ross admitted that he was also surprised to see the star join IMPACT. The veteran praised the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, commenting that she’ll be a big help to whichever locker room she lands in.

“Yeah, she’s such a nice person, too, more importantly to many, a locker room person,” Ross said. “A good citizen, wrestling citizen in her community. So, I think she’ll help anybody.

I was surprised she went there, not because I thought she was coming to work for AEW, but that wouldn’t have been a bad landing spot for her as to the ongoing depth initiative, getting more talent that can work and that has some experience, and adding a piece here and a piece there to continue to build that division. I’m hopeful she’ll do well.”

Trinity Opens Up About Her Decision To Join IMPACT Wrestling
