WWE have announced that Hall of Famer will be making a very special appearance on the August 22nd edition of Monday Night Raw.
With Clash At The Castle just two weeks away Monday Night Raw rolls into Toronto.
The card is set to feature Edge’s first television match in his hometown for more than a decade when he takes on Damian Priest of Judgment Day. However, the Rated R Superstar won’t be the only one returning to familiar ground.
On SmackDown it was announced that Trish Stratus will also be returning to the red brand in her home city.
It had already been announced that Stratus would be appearing at two upcoming live events, but this bonus appearance is sure to please her home crowd.
Stratus ended her full-time in-ring career at Unforgiven in 2006 in Toronto with victory over her long-time rival Lita. In the process she won the Women’s Championship for a seventh time. Since then the WWE Hall of Famer has made occasional appearances, most recently wrestling at SummerSlam in 2019 where she was defeated by Charlotte Flair.
Despite stepping away from the wrestling industry, Stratus has repeatedly teased stepping back inside the ropes, teasing a confrontation with Becky Lynch as recently as June.
Also announced for Raw, Alexa Bliss and Asuka take on Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky in the semi-finals of the Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament.
