WWE Hall Of Famer Shares What They Dislike About Modern Wrestling

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently spoke about what things displeases him about current day pro wrestling.

Speaking with fellow WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker as a guest on his former WrestleMania opponent’s “Six Feet Under With Mark Calaway”, Mark Henry commented on his issues when watching wrestling today compared to what he was taught nearly 30 years ago.

I watch it and it hurts. The number one thing that people don’t do in wrestling is the struggle. I was taught the struggle in wrestling.

Henry also spoke about how predictable a lot of matches are to watch and how the suspension of disbelief is missing.

I know what’s going to happen with most matches because they don’t disguise it, they don’t allow you to go into a blind belief, a suspended belief to where you don’t see it.

He also gave an example of in-ring storytelling from his experiences when he was competing in the ring to further make his point.

I should be able to pick up every human in the ring but there’s a time when you’re not supposed to. So now I got to, you know, go punch at somebody and hit the pole and now my hand hurts… it’s the storytelling of where you go in the match.

Who Did Mark Henry Praise Following WWE Backlash France?
