WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair Diagnosed With Skin Cancer

WWE Hall Of Famer Begs Ric Flair To Stay Out Of The Ring For Good

Wrestling legend Ric Flair has been diagnosed with skin cancer.

A part of the wrestling industry for over five decades, The Nature Boy has experienced one of the most celebrated wrestling careers of all time. Recently, the Hall of Famer shared an unfortunate and extremely tragic news about his health.

In an interview with People, Flair revealed that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer for the second time in three years. The 16-time World Champion had previously denied reports about his skin cancer on X(Twitter) to keep the diagnosis private, but has now publicly revealed the concerning news.

In his interview with People, the 76-year-old wrestling legend stated,

“It’s the second time in three years that I’ve been dealing with skin cancer. I will be undergoing treatment next week.”

Widely regarded as one of the best pro-wrestlers of all time, the veteran has suffered several significant health issues in the past few years, often requiring hospitalization. In August 2017, the former WWE Champion was hospitalized due to severe stomach pain. Within hours, the North Carolina native began experiencing early signs of kidney failure and was at risk of congestive heart failure, largely attributed to alcohol abuse.

Doctors gave Ric Flair just a 20 percent chance of survival and placed him in a medically induced coma. As he gradually regained consciousness, Flair underwent surgery to remove part of his bowel and had a pacemaker implanted.

We at ITR Wrestling wish Ric Flair a very safe and steady recovery from his skin cancer. In his tough time, we at ITR Wrestling stand strong by him.

Ric Flair Had Once Opened Up On His Irregular AEW Appearances

Flair had signed up with AEW in 2023 and was presented as a gift from AEW President Tony Khan to honour Sting’s retirement tour. However, he soon disappeared from television appearances. In an interview earlier this year on From The Master’s Class, Ric Flair claimed that his health issues were stopping him from appearing on AEW.

“The reason I’m not on TV now is Tony [Khan] didn’t know I was on blood thinners…That’s why. At Sting’s last match, I had already made a blade. I was ready to go. He said [no]… I made blades for all the guys in the old days.”

“If I couldn’t cut myself, we weren’t gonna make it through the match,” he joked. “You try wrestling Rufus R. Jones for an hour… That’s a long hour-Broadway.”
