WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley has returned to work with a new role in NXT following back surgery in October 2021.
Back in February, D-Von Dudley revealed that he had undergone extensive spinal surgery which meant that his in-ring days were now behind him.
However, his years of in-ring expertise are going to be put to good use as he confirmed in May that he would be moving from his role as a producer in WWE to that of a coach in NXT.
Now, he has given the good news that he has finally been able to return to work and take up his new position. Dudley said that he loves working with the new talent in NXT and thanked God for the opportunity.
“This pass Tuesday night was the first time back at work since my back surgery that took me out last October. Feeling great and Glad to be back, but even more glad to be back in my new role in NXT. Love working with the new talent now. I thank God for this opportunity.”

D-Von Dudley’s career spanned almost 25 years, during which he competed in some of the most chaotic, destructive, and innovative matches of all time. Alongside his ‘brother’ Bubba Ray Dudley, the two men established themselves as one of the most hardcore and successful tag teams in history.
After becoming mainstays in ECW throughout the mid-1990s the duo moved to WWE in 1999. They later engaged in rivalries with both The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian, doing battle in a series of legendary matches often involving their beloved tables. The three teams famously competed in the first two TLC matches which are still revered to this day.
