WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is reportedly set to make a stunning return to Monday Night RAW.

As reported by Fightful Select, the former Universal Champion is slated to return on the upcoming episode of RAW to set up a feud with Bobby Lashley.

The report adds that Goldberg’s contract currently requires him to appear in two matches per year. A potential clash with Lashley would fulfil this obligation for 2021.

“Fightful has learned that as of Thursday, WWEs plan was for Bill Goldberg to return on Monday’s and to set up an eventual match with Bobby Lashley, targeted for SummerSlam.”

Goldberg’s most recent appearance came at the 2021 Royal Rumble where he challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.

Should Goldberg and Lashley meet at SummerSlam it would be the first time that the pair have faced each other in a match.

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will defend his title against Kofi Kingston at WWE Money In The Bank on July 18th. Kingston will be attempting to win the title for a second time after famously winning the championship at WrestleMania 35 against Daniel Bryan.

The news comes after it was reported that former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch could be on her way back to WWE in the near future. The Irish star has reportedly been training at the WWE Performance Centre ahead of a prospective comeback.

There also continues to be significant speculation that John Cena is also in line for a dramatic return.
