WWE Hall Of Famer Recalls Bizarre Trial In Wrestler's Court & Expensive Punishment From The Undertaker

A WWE Hall of Famer has recalled their bizarre trial in wrestler’s court and the punishment thought up by The Undertaker after being found guilty.

Invented as a way of dealing with minor locker room transgressions, stories about wrestler’s court have become folklore in the industry due to the bizarre reasons talent were put up “on trial” and the even stranger punishments that were dished out as a result.

From losing a game of dodgeball to sitting in the wrong seat on an aeroplane to bribing the writers, stories from wrestler’s court can be regarded as either a light-hearted way of settling differences or hazing and borderline abuse depending on the story and punishment, which was ultimately dished out by The Deadman.

For one WWE Hall of Famer, their time in wrestler’s court came about for one of the more bizarre misdemeanours, even by the crazy standards of the professional wrestling industry. Former SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long found himself in the stand for selling Viagra to the wrestlers.

Recalling the trial while appearing as a guest on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, Long stated that he was nearly found innocent until Mae Young messed up, resulting in Long being punished by footing the bill for beer and KFC:

“We had a thing that we called wrestler’s court. Anytime you get in trouble or something or you do the wrong thing, they take you to wrestler’s court. Well, I ended up having to go to wrestler’s court and they took me to wrestler’s court for selling Viagra to the boys. So, the day that they served me papers to go to court I got no lawyer.

So I’m walking around the locker room trying to find a lawyer. I end up finding Mae Young, God rest her soul. I said Mae will you be my lawyer, I’m in wrestler’s court, I need a lawyer. When I brought Mae Young in, I almost had them and then Mae Young screwed up and called Viagra, Niagra. That’s what got me sentenced. Taker sentenced me to buying chicken and beer for about a month for JBL and somebody else. I had to buy Kentucky Fried Chicken and beer for about a month.”

When asked why he had access to so much Viagra, Long responded that he had a connection:

“I knew this doctor that would send me samples and stuff so I had plenty of it. That’s how I ended up selling it.”

Long also recounted what happened when he sold the stimulant to Viscera:

“I sold some to Viscera…he came to me and he said, ‘I don’t know what that was. I looked down and I said who’s penis is this? Who does this belong to?’ He would take them and didn’t have no girl around…Viscera was the only guy I know who could peel an orange in his pocket.”
