WWE Hall Of Famer Reacts To Grayson Waller's Viral Altercation During Live TV Interview

A WWE Hall of Famer has praised Grayson Waller for his actions during a recent live interview.

While on a media tour in Australia to promote Elimination Chamber, Waller and LA Knight appeared on a live talk show. When one of the fans jokingly asked Knight to demonstrate a move in the studio, Waller became irate and had a verbal altercation with the presenter, threatening to punch him. Many have praised Waller for defending the business, while some have wondered if he overreacted. According to Hall of Famer Booker T, Waller handled the situation perfectly.

Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T noted that Waller was likely going to legitimately punch the presenter and described what would have happened if he was in the same situation:

“That’s what you get, [Waller] handled that properly. He wasn’t going to give the guy a fake punch. He was going to whack the guy. He was going to hit him in the jaw, and that’s what he would have deserved. I’ve hit guys with so-called a fake punch, like Steve Austin, and it’s the hardest punch he’s gotten hit with. So that’s the way this guy would have gotten hit, if I would have been hitting him.

Even in 2024, some critics take humour in the scripted element of professional wrestling and refuse to acknowledge the risk of serious injuries. The Hall of Famer continued, issuing a warning to those who still think this way:

“People want to look at wrestling like its low brow, like it’s not something worthy of being on television or being called a sport or whatever … You might want to check yourself if you’re bringing some wrestlers on your program because it could go wrong if you disrespect wrestling and disrespect the wrestler right in his face.”

Booker T Gives Honest Opinion On WWE’s Training Methods

As previously mentioned, there is a high chance of injuries when competing inside the squared circle. This has been seen in recent months as multiple talents have been sidelined with injuries of a similar nature, ACL tears. Some have claimed that WWE coaches are to blame for this as their training methods are responsible for the injuries. Upon hearing this report, Booker T responded to the claims regarding the staff at the WWE Performance Center.

In a new episode of his podcast, the Hall of Famer was hopeful for another Royal Rumble cameo.
