As Britt Baker’s absence continues, Tony Khan was recently questioned about it.
Baker was last seen on television during her victory over Penelope Ford on the November 13th episode of Dynamite. The former women’s champion has been absent from televised appearances since then.
Despite her impactful return last year, Baker has wrestled only five matches. However, amidst her continuing absence, All Elite Wrestling President Khan was recently questioned about it.
Taking to X(Twitter), 2017 WWE Hall of Famer DDP (Diamond Dallas Page) asked Khan,
Yo Tony, when are you bringing back @RealBrittBaker? Rumor has it she’s been staying in peak physical condition and is ready to make her return. She’s ready and so are the fans.”
While DDP uploaded the question as a plugin to his session with Baker from last year, it also raised several important questions about her status at the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Tony Khan Breaks Silence On Britt Baker’s Status
Earlier this year, long before DDP raised questions about her status, rumors began spreading about her alleged departure from the promotion. Appearing at the All In Media Call, Khan broke his silence on the matter.
“I’ve never had a conversation about Britt Baker departing AEW. I like Britt, a lot, and I think one thing we’ve done really well with AEW is build a tight-focused show around a really strong roster, and it’s been very consistent, and I think we’ve really had a very, very good year of pay-per-view and TV, and absolutely there are some people that have not been featured, that we have a great group of wrestlers that have not necessarily been on the show a lot, or even in some cases 2025, that are very talented, and we would like to work back in when the opportunity presents itself,” Tony Khan said.
