WWE Hall of Famer Pete Rose is dead at 83.
One of the greatest hitters in baseball history, Rose lost his life at 83 years of age. On September 30th, TMZ reported the passing away of Rose. The veteran died at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Earlier he had attended an autograph event in Franklin, Tennessee.
The 2004 Class of Hall of Famer is also known for his time in the Stamford-based promotion. He appeared at WrestleMania 14 and 15, where he suffered tombstone piledrivers from Kane. Later in 2010, Rose again appeared in the promotion as a host for RAW.
Who Was WWE Hall Of Famer And Baseball Legend Pete Rose?
Throughout his illustrious baseball career, Rose was voted to 17 All-Star Games, three-time World Series Champion, and was the NL MVP in 1973. He is vividly known for his time with the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and the then-Montreal Expos.
Often known as one of the greatest hitters in the game, Rose leads the leaderboard with 4,256 hits in MLB.
Despite his storied career, Rose was never inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame over his ban from baseball in 1989. The ban occurred after accusations of him betting on games during his player-manager era for the Cincinnati Reds rose from 1984-1989, which was later proved true in 2004.
Despite other several controversies, Rose was one of the greatest baseball players of all time and a beloved figure in WWE.
