WWE Hall Of Famer On Potential Comeback – “I Would Love To Go Back”

It’s often said that no wrestler, WWE or otherwise, ever truly retires. The allure of coming back for one more run in the spotlight is simply too much for many.

In recent days The Undertaker has opened up about his own retirement struggles, describing stepping away as a “horrible process.” This was after he had already extended his in-ring career in an effort to go out on a high.

2022 already saw Ric Flair, Steve Austin, and Ricky Steamboat all lace up their boots one more time, so could another WWE Hall of Famer be about to add their name to that list?

Nikki Bella and her sister Brie signed with WWE in 2007 and found enormous success both inside and outside of the ring. Their involvement in reality shows Total Divas and Total Bellas is credited with bringing a whole generation of new fans to WWE, while they claimed three Divas Title wins between them.

Nikki retired from the ring in 2018 but has continued to make occasional appearances, even competing in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match. The Bella Twins were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2020.

During an appearance on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Nikki Bella was asked whether she keeps up with the current product. The former champion admitted that she keeps an eye on the women’s division and misses being involved herself. Bella added that she would love to go back, but being a mom makes that more difficult.

“I miss it a lot. Every time I go do cardio and I put on my music, I’m thinking of storylines and cutting promos. We were playing flag football this week and I’m cutting promos. I have so much fun with it. I miss it. I miss it so much. I watch every now and then, and it’s only the women’s stuff. I’ll watch certain matches and I’m like, ‘that would be so fun to be a part of’ or when I hear them cutting promos. What the women are doing there is great, that’s why they need more opportunities. When I was on SmackDown, every storyline that I did had nothing to do with the championship and we had great stories. I wish I could be back. I would love to go back and do things. It’s just different when you’re a mom,”

Nikki Bella Claims Total Divas Success Took Away Control From Vince McMahon

During the interview, the star discussed the success of Total Divas. Nikki Bella said that she and Brie actually got into trouble over the show doing as well as it did because Vince McMahon couldn’t control it.
