WWE Hall Of Famer Not Allowed To Be In Attendance For Sting's Last Match

A close friend of Sting has admitted that he can’t be at AEW Revolution.

The Icon will close the book on a legendary career on March 3rd as he competes in his final match, teaming with Darby Allin once again to defend the Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks.

The show at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina is set to be one of the most attended AEW shows in North America with over 15,000 tickets sold for the show. Much like Ric Flair’s last match in 2022, multiple legends from the wrestling world are expected to be in attendance to see The Icon compete one more time. Unfortunately, one wrestler who has been a huge part of the Hall of Famer’s career will not be there.

Speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash revealed that Sting asked him to be at the event but it would not be possible due to Nash’s affiliation with WWE. Nash added that both sides were unhappy about the decision:

“He asked me to be a part of it. I just said that because of my positioning with the company, with WWE, I couldn’t. I couldn’t even be there. If I went in the crowd, it would be…He said he wanted me to be there because I was just one of the guys that’s been with him the whole run. He was disappointed. I was disappointed. I knew, I asked. You know when you ask and there’s that three or four-second pause, and it’s just like, ‘Okay…,'”

As the last match draws closer, an additional hurdle for Sting’s retirement match has been reported.

AEW Star Praises Sting’s Legacy

One of the most respected men in wrestling, many are happy that the former World Champion is able to end his career on his terms after it was seemingly cut short in 2015. Discussing Sting’s legacy and what it means to professional wrestling, one top AEW star believes that it will never be replicated.

Hoping to be in attendance for Revolution, Jim Ross has provided a new update.
