A WWE Hall of Famer has revealed who they believe will be the “next Goldberg.”
At the peak of his powers Goldberg was one of the most dominant professional wrestlers to ever step into a ring.
During his time in WCW, Goldberg racked up an incredible number of victories, putting in place a streak that would become the stuff of legend. By the time the star was finally defeated by Kevin Nash at Starrcade 1998, he was one of the biggest names in the entire industry.
The former World Champion’s allure was built on a stunning array of power-moves, and a physical natural charisma that is almost impossible to replicate. However, that hasn’t stopped wrestling promotors for the last two decades trying to capture lighting in the bottle for a second time.
Speaking in a recent interview with Shak Wrestling, the man himself was asked who he thinks could be the next Goldberg. In true to form style, the WWE Hall of Famer got straight to the point, naming Bron Breakker.
Bron Breakker has been tipped as one of WWE’s biggest rising star’s after featuring prominently on NXT 2.0. The son of Hall of Famer Rock Steiner only made his debut on the show in September and has already won the NXT Championship twice.
After losing NXT’s top title to Dolph Ziggler at Roadblock, he quickly regained it by pinning the former World Champion on the Raw after WrestleMania 38. Breakker’s most recent defence came at The Great American Bash where he saw off the challenge of Cameron Grimes.
Speaking in May, Breakker explained that he was actually a big fan of the former World Heavyweight Champion when he was younger. In fact, he was so much of a fan that he got a similar tattoo to his idol, something he now regrets.
