WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley Reprises Iconic Persona

Mick Foley Is A Big Fan Of WWE Group:

Which iconic character did WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley bring back for a surprise appearance?

Foley is known for playing multiple much-loved characters throughout his accomplished career. Cactus Jack is a big favourite due to his wild, unhinged and hardcore antics in Japanese deathmatches as well as memorable runs in WCW, ECW and WWE.

Foley’s other and possibly most well-known character is Mankind. Debuting in 1996, Mankind was a dark, disturbed, and tormented persona. Over time, Foley brought comedic elements to the role making him one of wrestling’s most endearing characters.

Another of Foley’s personas was Dude Love. A tongue-in-cheek, lighthearted and fun-loving character that is a stark contrast to the violent and tortured nature of his other characters.

Since his retirement in 2012, these characters have rarely been seen. But at Ohio Valley Wrestling’s Nightmare Rumble on January 5th, Dude Love made a surprise return. According to those in attendance, Foley eliminated someone from the rumble match using Mr Socko.

Foley wasn’t the only Hall of Famer at the show. JBL was the special guest commentator at the event but couldn’t help himself from getting in the ring and assisted his former Cabinet stablemate, Danny Basham win the OVW National Championship.

Mick Foley Believes This AEW Star Should Have Been WWE Champion

At the event, Mick Foley was asked about his run with the WWE Championship stating that he was always a transitional champion before revealing which AEW star he would’ve liked to see get a title reign.

Foley declared that current Claudio Castagnoli should have been given the chance to hold the WWE Championship during his time with the company as Cesaro.

“Cesaro should have been given a run with the title that’s because Cesaro reminded me of like the old school Jack Brisco, Dory Funk, traveling champion who could literally have a good match with anyone.” (h/t WrestlingInc)
