WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has addressed the potential his son, Jacob, has in the company.
WWE may soon welcome another “World’s Strongest Man” to its ranks, as Jacob Henry, son of Mark Henry, announced his signing during SummerSlam weekend in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently a student-athlete at the University of Oklahoma, Jacob competes on the wrestling team and has experience in football, showcasing his diverse athletic background.
Mark Henry, speaking on the “Huge Pop” podcast, expressed confidence in his son’s potential in the wrestling world. The WWE legend praised Jacob’s natural ability to engage with the audience, stating:
He’s going to be very, very famous. Like, he’s got it and he’s also got the sickness.
Henry drew parallels between Jacob’s passion for wrestling and that of industry veteran TJ Wilson, highlighting his son’s encyclopaedic knowledge of wrestling history. Illustrating Jacob’s dedication, Henry shared:
Jacob will tell me something about my career, and I go, ‘No, that’s not true.’ Then he goes, ‘No, dad, you wrestled so-and-so, and then you went to this place and then you did, what you talking about having that house show or something. TV, this is what happened on TV during that…’ I’m like, ‘How does he know this?’
The elder Henry emphasised his son’s unwavering commitment to wrestling, suggesting that Jacob would readily abandon his college education if given the opportunity to train full-time.
Wait until he gets in the ring every day for six to eight months learning the fundamentals. He’s going to be a monster, man,
Henry predicted.
What Reason Did Vince McMahon Fire A WWE Hall Of Famer According To Mark Henry?
Mark Henry said that Vince McMahon fired WWE Hall of Famer Vade for a strange reason, Henry recalled wrestling Vader early in his career and was meant to deliver a press slam to him but Vader refused to go up for the move, so McMahon told him if he didn’t do it the next night he would be fired. Vader refused to go up for the move again so McMahon, according to Henry, fired Vader on the spot.
In a new interview, Mark Henry recalled telling Tony Khan to sign an AEW star as soon as possible.
