WWE legend Hulk Hogan recently passed away at 71 years old.
A few days ago, on July 24, the wrestling world lost one of its gems in Hulk Hogan. Despite his controversial past, Hogan was arguably one of the most instrumental figures in establishing pro-wrestling as a mainstream entertainment source.
A few days after his death, his close friend and former colleague Ric Flair appeared in an interview with Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show and claimed that Terry Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan, must have gotten tired of all his surgeries and body aches. The Nature Boy further joked about how he could be “next” on the list based on his age:
I think he just got tired. I mean, 11 back operations, hip replacements. Now, a neck surgery. How much can your body take? We’ve all put ourselves in ridiculous positions in the business but, here I am, I’m five years older than Hulk and I don’t hurt at all. I’ve had some serious health [issues], but I don’t have an ache or pain in my body, and it bothers me and of course, it gives me anxiety that I could be next.” [H/t Fightful]

WWE Veteran Ric Flair Addresses Hulk Hogan’s Controversial Past
In the same interview with Ariel Helwani, the Hall of Famer addressed Hogan’s controversial past and how he disliked people bringing it up in almost every conversation:
To be honest with you, I knew you were gonna ask me this question and I hoped you would, because I kept track of it. If 128 people text me and not one negative word. Everybody has their pitfalls and things happen, and we don’t have control over it but… whatever that was going on that made somebody uncomfortable, it blew right by him. I hate that they always have to mention that. But that’s just the way the social media works but, trust me, he was anything but that, and he paid the price — anything bad, excuse me.”
