This WWE Hall of Famer has no problem with their son wrestling.
Prior to becoming one of the biggest names in pro-wrestling, Hall of Famer Goldberg was busy building his football career. However, after things went downhill in the NFL, Goldberg turned to wrestling and developed himself into a multi-time champion.
At 18 years old, his son, Gage Goldberg, is also pursuing a career as a footballer for the Colorado Buffaloes as an Inside Linebacker. Not playing a single match for this team in the 2024 season, Gage Goldberg had previously opened up on becoming a professional wrestler and had even received a tryout offer from Triple H.
Since 2017, Goldberg’s son, Gage, has made several appearances on WWE TV and even once got physical with Bobby Lashley. He was also present during his father’s recent verbal spat with Gunther at Bad Blood 2024. However, during Goldberg’s interview with Ariel Helwani, he opened up on the chances of his son becoming a wrestler.
“Yes, I’d let him do it. If he looked me in the eye and had the conviction in his soul that that is what he was going to put 120% of his attitude and life towards, to be the best, I know he can do it. He can do anything he wants. Most people can do anything they want; they just have to put their minds to it and be willing to put in the work.
That’s the problem with a lot of people now, they want shit for free, and they want it to be given to them, and they want respect to be given to them. You gotta work for it. I’d support him in anything he does, short of being a crack dealer or something. If the kid loves it, then he can do it. I’m completely behind it.”

Before 2025 ends, Goldberg is also scheduled to have his retirement match.
Goldberg Open To Wrestle John Cena In His WWE Retirement Match
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show, Goldberg opened up on his list of potential retirement opponents, including John Cena.
“I never got a chance to get my hand around Cena’s throat. That might have been cool. There are a lot of people I would have loved to have faced back in the day, but the fact is, what does that do for the business now? A lot of people don’t even remember me that watch wrestling right now. A lot of people don’t know me because they speak negatively of me. I think I was an innovator of sorts. There are a plethora (of people).
I’d love to have a rematch with Roman [Reigns]. There are so many guys that are so talented and on the cusp of stardom if not there yet, that are possibilities. Bron Breakker. It’s a logical solution. It’s all in how the powers that be want to make it happen.
We’ll figure it out and hopefully, at the end of the day, I’m able to present myself in a positive manner to where the people of today, who don’t remember me, will sure as frick remember me after they see me my last time, and it won’t be in a negative way.”
