WWE Hall of Famer has cleared off his existing heat with LA Knight following their SummerSlam meet.
For the past couple of years, LA Knight has developed himself into one of the most popular superstars on the roster. After struggling to find gold on the main roster, Knight finally defeated Logan Paul in Cleveland last week to win the United States Championship.
The Megastar was also at the receiving end of criticism from wrestling veteran Kevin Nash, last year. Nash called out Knight on his podcast and referred to him as a complete “rip-off of The Rock”. The current Champion also took a shot at Nash during a SmackDown episode last September, as a banter followed between the two.
However, the former nWo member has a completely different idea about LA Knight now. Earlier this month, after a meeting with the champion during SummerSlam, Kevin Nash brushed away all the existing heat between the two on his podcast ‘Kliq This’, and labeled him as a “really nice guy.”
LA Knight was sitting at the end of the table and I sat down at the table behind him and he turned around and I just said to him, ‘So, are you finally getting to go over tonight?’ He goes, ‘Something like that.’ He seemed like a really nice guy. There was no heat between us. Nobody is trying to hurt anybody this business. I wasn’t trying to take food off his table.”
The wrestling legend stated their past conflict did not come up during their conversation at SummerSlam, and both the stalwarts discussed wrestling and Logan Paul.
LA Knight Signs New Multi-Year Contract With WWE
After a fruitful SummerSlam, LA Knight has now reportedly signed a new hefty contract with the Stamford-based promotion. The latest reports from Fightful Select suggest a large monetary increase as well for the Champion.
It further detailed how both parties went months without signing a contract. However, it changed over the summer as Knight signed a new multi-year deal with a large pay increase as well.
