WWE legends Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels

After Shawn Michaels recently celebrated 35 years since his WWE debut, a former rival has praised the Heartbreak Kid as the best of all time.

The 2005 rivalry between Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle is fondly remembered by fans and hit a peak with a match at WrestleMania 21. In the lead-up to the match, Angle repeatedly mocked HBK, singing his “Sexy Boy” theme song with Sensational Sherri, won a Ladder Match, and defeated Marty Jannetty.

Speaking on his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Hero reflected on working with Michaels and the 35th anniversary of his WWE debut. Angle heaped praise on HBK, and said that he might just be the best ever.

“You know what, all I could say about him is he’s the best of all time. He has had incredible chemistry with every wrestler he’s ever wrestled. I had incredible chemistry with him, I enjoyed working with him every single time and he was so easy to work with. And for him to go 35 years, it’s just unbelievable. I mean, you know, you’re talking 70% of his life has been involved with the WWE. That is something that hardly ever happens.”
