A WWE Hall of Famer has opened up on R-Truth’s WWE exit.
A couple of days ago, the wrestling world was left stunned when WWE suddenly decided to release R-Truth, Carlito, and Sarah Rowe. Soon, two social media posts written by Truth and Carlito, and later by Fightful Select, it was revealed that World Wrestling Entertainment decided to let the two stars’ contracts expire and not renew them. Later, Valhalla, aka Sarah Rowe, also revealed how her contract was not extended by the promotion.
Almost a day after the unfortunate incident, WWE Hall of Famer JBL appeared on his podcast ‘Something to Wrestle‘ and reflected on the former 24/7 Champion’s exit. Calling it “bizarre”, he said,
“I don’t understand this with Ron Killings either. I mean, it’s the same perplexing thing to me. I thought it was a joke. Brian Armstrong (Road Dogg) had something on his Twitter… He goes, ‘I’m really bummed. I can’t believe they released R-Truth,’ or something like that. I looked it up and [thought] it’s got to be a storyline.”
“The guy just main-evented Saturday Night’s Main Event. He’s selling a ton of merch. It’s absolutely perplexing to me. One of the most bizarre releases that I’ve seen.”
He further said,
“Ron, Truth, has had a great career, and of course, he’s still got years left. He’s in tremendous shape. He looks like he’s 28, moves like he’s 28. He’s unbelievably talented. There’s nothing he can’t do. It takes a smart guy to play a dumb guy… Wrestling, the guys who played the dumb guys are usually very smart. Killings is a very smart guy. He can get anything over. I would imagine he’s going to be a massive star, a bigger star.”
“A year from now? I’ll take that bet with anybody—a bigger star a year from now than he is right now.”

Truth’s last match was against JC Mateo on the 30th May episode of SmackDown, ahead of which he had again suffered a loss against John Cena.
A WWE Hall Of Famer Believes John Cena Should Take The Blame For R-Truth’s Exit
In a recent episode of Busted Open, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray opened up on how current World Champion John Cena should take the blame for R-Truth’s release, based on their recent storyline feud.
“If this whole Truth thing is legit and if they are not renewing his contract, I put John Cena on TV with a microphone and he says, ‘I never liked Ron Killings, Ron Killings was released because of me. I said I am going to ruin wrestling, I am ruining it for you fans. I know you love this guy. I called The Rock, The Rock released Ron Killings.’ End of story.”
