A WWE Hall of Famer is very sceptical over the upcoming Vince McMahon docuseries.
In just a few days the highly-anticipated Vince McMahon Netflix docuseries will be officially released on the streaming platform after first being announced back in October 2020. Due to the events that have taken place over the past 4 years, wrestling fans are very curious as to how the series will portray McMahon and what exactly will be covered.
Following the trailer release, many fans online were concerned about how McMahon would be portrayed given the talking heads featured. In addition to this, some have previously expressed issues over the accuracy due to wrestling being known for having a revisionist history and the team involved in producing the series.
While appearing at a virtual signing for Signed by Superstars, Hall of Famer Jake Roberts was asked if he would be watching the upcoming series:
Possibly (I’ll watch Netflix’s Vince McMahon docuseries). I’m gonna wait and find out how much truth’s involved first… (Host mentioned it could be ‘a lot of bullsh*t’) Which is what I expect.
Janel Grant’s Team Hosts Briefing Ahead Of Vince McMahon Documentary
Back in January 2024, McMahon resigned from all positions in WWE and TKO after he was accused of sexual misconduct and trafficking by former employee Janel Grant. While it is unknown how much detail the series will go into regarding the allegations, the lawsuit is referenced in the trailer. A few days before the series will be available to watch, Janel Grant’s team issued statements and answered questions from the media.
