A WWE Hall of Famer has given their thoughts on the recent Tessa Blanchard return to TNA.
Ahead of the Final Resolution special, news broke that the former Blanchard would be making her way back to the company imminently. With previous allegations of bullying and racism directed towards Tessa Blanchard in the past, fans and talent were shocked and unhappy by the news of her impending return.
The reports about Blanchard were accurate as the former World Champion made her shock return in disguise, attacked Jordynne Grace and revealed her identity to the crowd.
With Blanchard’s past well documented, many were critical of the promotion’s decision to bring the controversial star back. However, according to Booker T, fans should instead let the situation play out before casting judgment.
Discussing Blanchard’s return on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T looked at the return as a redo and asked fans to give her a second chance:
“Man, the thing is, I’ve already seen criticisms of Tessa Blanchard being back and people still wanting to try to cancel her. Man, y’all get off of it. The thing is, if something was said, if an apology was made and fences were mended, we should be able to move on.
One thing about certain things, in the social media sphere, everybody know about it but don’t nobody really know what’s going on [laughs]. Everybody know about the story but don’t nobody know what’s going on. My thing is, guys, get off of all of this hate and let Tessa Blanchard hopefully try to resurrect her career and go out there and redo this thing all over again. Let’s just look at it as that, a redo.”
In recent news, TNA executives have reacted to Tess Blanchard’s return to the company.
Booker T Criticises Tessa Blanchard Booking Decision
Back in 2020, Blanchard became the first female wrestler to win the TNA World Championship after she defeated Sami Callihan at Hard To Kill. Referencing the title reign, Booker T stated that it was a decision he was very much against:
“I was always a huge Tessa Blanchard fan as far as her in-ring stuff. When they [had Blanchard win the world title], I was the first one against it. I was the first one to say, that was the worst decision TNA has ever made since its existence. Guess what? I was 100% right on that, just because this business is to be embellished, but there are lines that we don’t cross because those lines, sometimes we can’t cross back over. That’s the way I see it.”
In an interview following her return, Tessa Blanchard clarified her status with TNA.
