Jesse Ventura has set the record straight on his feelings towards Hulk Hogan.
Ventura has been vocal about his feelings towards Hogan over the years. The animosity began shortly before WrestleMania 2 when Hogan told Vince McMahon about Ventura’s attempts to for a union with the locker room. In interviews that have followed, the Hall of Famer stated that he had no interest in burying the hatchet with Hulk Hogan.Additionally, Ventura believes that Hulk Hogan was the one responsible for his WCW termination.
Recently making his return to WWE at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Ventura appeared alongside Joe Tessitore for multiple segments and also announced the main event of Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens. During a recent interview on WFAN, Ventura was asked if not working with Hogan was a condition for his return:
“Well, no, but you gotta remember, okay, the Hogan thing with me, I don’t hate him. I don’t hate anybody. But you gotta understand something, where I come from. During my most formative years, I was under an influence that created, for lack of better terms, in many ways, a monster, and that was when I was a Navy Seal. I never talked about it, I don’t talk about it.
But we in that group, we live by a single premise, and this will answer your question, we don’t get mad. We get even. [Laughs] If you’re calling them in, your chances are, someone’s going to die. That’s just the way it is, and that’s the life I led for six years,”
Hulk Hogan Absent From WWE Show
December 14th saw the return of the Saturday Night’s Main Event special, which paid homage to the original series of shows that took place in the 1980s. Despite the fact that he was a major part of the first shows, Hulk Hogan was erased from 2024’s Saturday Night’s Main Event and left fans divided by the decision.
