WWE Hall Of Famer Claims Omos Has “More Upside” Than Andre The Giant And Big Show

Omos & Seth Rollins

WWE tag team legend Road Dogg has heaped praise on the Nigerian Giant Omos.

Opinion on the seven-foot former college basketball star remains divided among fans but it appears that he has some big supporters within WWE. In the last few years, The Undertaker has also praised the star, tipping him to become a major player in the company.

On the most recent episode of his podcast, Oh You Didn’t Know, Road Dogg looked back at the “Greatest Royal Rumble” from 2018. During the show, the veteran claimed that Omos has “more upside” than the legendary Andre The Giant, and The Big Show, now known as Paul Wight in AEW.

“I think no matter what you do with Omos, no matter what happened at WrestleMania, no matter what you do, Omos can walk into any arena in any city in the world and everybody in there will be in awe because I think he is that kind of an attraction.

He has more upside, to me, in my mind, and I know times are different and things are different, than Andre, than Big Show, than all these guys. Big Show is a great athlete. To be as big as he was and drop kicking and, going to the top rope, Big Show is an incredible athlete. This guy is the same kind of athlete. He’s a really good athlete at that size. It’s really uncommon and it’s really cool to see. He’s really huge. I didn’t look at Big Show like I look at this guy. He’s just so tall and so high above me when you’re standing there talking to him.”

Omos To Face Seth Rollins At Backlash

After being defeated by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39, Omos will be back in action at Backlash when he takes on Seth Rollins. The match was announced before the pair had even interacted on television, sparking confusion among fans.

The two men finally came face-to-face (kind of) on the May 24th episode of Raw, where MVP revealed that he had requested the match.
