A WWE Hall of Famer has taken a shot at John Cena.
In a shocking turn of events, John Cena turned heel at Elimination Chamber 2025. Stabbing Cody Rhodes in the back and joining hands with The Rock, Cena sold his ‘soul’, after winning the Chamber match a few minutes before.
On the quest for his 17th World title now at WrestleMania 41, Cena can surpass Ric Flair’s 16th World Champion reigns. Now paired up with The Final Boss, Cena hopes to surpass the record in his final wrestling run. However, ‘The Nature Boy’ has spoken up, and is ready to help Rhodes against Cena and Johnson.
Writing on his Instagram, Ric Flair claimed:
“It’s Been 25 Years Since I Won My Last, 16th World Championship, According To The @WWE. Blood, Sweat, And Tears! Harley Race, Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Brett Hart, Undertaker, Ricky Steamboat. The List Is Endless Of World Class Opponents. Unparalleled! My 1984 Schedule Has Actually Been Called Impossible To Perform. 60 & 90 Minute Matches! Let’s Get Serious! @JohnCena , I Love You And Respect You, But You Ain’t Taking Nothing From @CodyRhodes! If I Have To Fight My Way Through Security To Hit The Ring, I Will. I’ll Take The Day Off Of Blood Thinners. LFG! Let’s Do This!”
John Cena’s WWE Heel Turn Was Kept A Secret
In a recent report by Fightful Select, it was noted that WWE went to great lengths to keep John Cena’s heel turn a secret. Rhodes and Rock’s segment was even listed before Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn on the show’s internal rundown, to create confusion.
Plans for Cena to face Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 have been set for some time, although Fightful Select hasn’t heard of plans for The Rock to wrestle at the event. Numerous people in the promotion believe Johnson to be present at Las Vegas for Mania.
