WWE Hall Of Famer Blasts “Lame” AEW: “That Company Is Bleeding Out On The Table”

Tony Khan AEW

One WWE Hall of Famer is once again criticizing AEW.

Eric Bischoff hasn’t been shy about his criticism of AEW in the past, from blasting Tony Khan’s injury angle to taking the company to task for its safety protocols. Speaking on a recent episode of 83 Weeks, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked about the name All Elite Wrestling itself, and he responded that the name didn’t work for him.

“‘AEW’ sounds like a plumber’s union or something. It just doesn’t roll off the tongue the way it should. It doesn’t have that presence when you hear it. It just doesn’t work for me. Now maybe that’s just because the product is so f***in’ lame that it’s lived up to the lameness of the company. I don’t know.”

Eric Bischoff Criticizes AEW’s Storytelling

Continuing, Eric Bischoff made it known that he doesn’t believe All Elite Wrestling’s storytelling is currently effective. While he admits there is some great talent present, too many characters fail to make an impression on the former WCW President.

“From a storyline point of view, that company is bleeding out on the table, and it needs triage. Right now your characters are all over the map… there’s some great characters there, but there’s some that aren’t. There’s a lot of them that are the same. 75% of that roster looks like they’re there to f***in’ change your tires.”

Bischoff also joked that the company should use the following slogan:

“Where the Best Wrestlers in the World Can’t Draw a Dime.”

When Dax Harwood once took Bischoff to task for his constant criticism and called his behavior “stalkerish,” Bischoff wasted no time in clapping back.

Recently the upcoming AEW Collision and Rampage spoilers were revealed.
