WWE Hall Of Famer Blanked By Talent During Raw 30

WWE Raw 30 Set

On January 23rd, 2023, WWE assembled a whole host of legends and Hall of Famers to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Monday Night Raw.

One of the highlights for many fans was the segment involving Imperium and D-X featuring Kurt Angle. Not that the group either expected or was overjoyed that he was there. D-X was then interrupted by Imperium, with each member teasing a clash with Gunther and co before coming to their senses and realising they were too old.

The end result was a match being made by Teddy Long between Imperium and Seth Rollins & The Street Profits with Angle serving as the special guest referee.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, Teddy Long reflected on his involvement on the show. The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that Angle was the only person to speak to him backstage and say thank you.

“Had the chance to meet him at RAW XXX and he was part of the segment I was in, and he was old school. Nobody came up and said a word but Kurt, he was old school. When we came back, we always thank each other. ‘Hey man, thank you for the time.’ Nobody said that to me but Kurt Angle. That’s what we have no more,”

WWE Legend Kurt Angle To Undergo Surgery

Speaking on an episode of his own podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle revealed that he’s due to undergo back surgery in March. Angle explained that it’s not fusion surgery, but instead more of a clean-up operation to try and ease the pain in his leg and lower back.

The former World Champion most recently underwent surgery in May 2022 when he had both knees replaced at the same time.
