The official Twitter account for WWE Games has teased a major announcement at WrestleMania 37.
Posting a short video clip to social media, the company said that fans are going to want to tune in to the extravaganza.
“WWE2K fans: You’re going to want to tune in to WrestleMania”

After video game company THQ, who had been involved with every WWE game in the ‘SmackDown!’ series since 2000, dissolved in 2013, Take-Two Interactive acquired the series. This led to WWE2K14 being the first WWE game to be released under the 2K banner. The company later parted way with long-time developer Yuke’s in 2019.
In April 2020 it was confirmed that there would be no annual WWE SIM game, for the first time since the year 2000. The shelved WWE 2K21 was replaced by WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
The game was a departure from previous releases and featured a more arcade based experience, and over-the-top characters. Speaking at the time, a 2K Spokesperson said that the game would offer a completely new experience.
“[Battlegrounds] is a completely new WWE gaming experience that will feature arcade-style action and over-the-top superstar designs, environments and moves,” says a 2K spokesperson. “We’re focusing on social pick-up-and-play fun, but with plenty of depth for those who want to get way into it.”
While there has been no official confirmation on what news may be revealed at WrestleMania, speculation is rife that it will be the confirmation of a new WWE2K22 game.
WrestleMania 37 is set to take place over the course of Saturday April 10th and Sunday April 11th.
