Dominik Mysterio is a star on the rise in WWE, and his recent performances have reportedly made the company sit up and take notice.
After finding success teaming up with his father Rey Mysterio, the pair finally broke up at Clash At The Castle. The betrayal saw Dominik join Judgment Day and turn heel for the first time in his career.
Since moving to the dark side, Dominik Mysterio has gone from strength to strength and his partnership with Rhea Ripley has taken his performances to a whole new level in the eyes of fans.
Interestingly, it has now been reported by WRKD Wrestling that the young Mysterio’s progress hasn’t gone unnoticed by WWE management. The report states that the star has seen his screen time increase in the run-up to WrestleMania as the company’s faith in him increases.
“WWE has gained more and more faith in Dominik Mysterio in recent months and plan on using him on both Raw and Smackdown leading to Wrestlemania, where the current plan is to face Rey Mysterio in a singles match.”
What Happened To Dominik Mysterio On WWE SmackDown
On the March 3rd episode of the blue brand, Mysterio was on hand to support “Mami” and cause more anguish to his father. After being confronted by Santos Escobar backstage, the pair ended up in a match that Mysterio won thanks to a helping hand from Ripley.
After the match, Dominik ripped up the mask that his father had presented to Escobar a few weeks earlier. This brought out Rey to remonstrate with his son, but after Dominik and Rhea retreated “ex-con-Dom” attacked his father from behind.
