WWE have not yet negotiated new media rights deals with networks Fox and Comcast/USA Network.

As reported by The New York Post, the window where current networks are able to renew shows has now expired, meaning that the opportunity to purchase the broadcast rights for Raw and SmackDown have now become an open market.

WWE Raw and SmackDown Media Rights Now Open To All Buyers

It should be noted that The Post reports that an open market is the case for the majority of major shows, and that Fox and Comcast are most likely to renew SmackDown and Raw respectively.

The contract for each of the main roster WWE shows runs out in October 2024. However, the streaming deal with Peacock does not factor into this. The contract with the NBC owned platform expires in March 2026, shortly before WrestleMania 42 would be set to take place.

While it appears that both shows will remain on the same channels as they are currently, sources at The New York Post have stated that one other buyer that might be potentially interested is FX, who is owned by parent company Disney. Despite Disney also owning sports network ESPN, it would be believed that due to Monday night sports games it would not be viable for Raw to be broadcast on the sports network.

With WWE setting record for viewership and attendance for their PLE’s and strong ratings seen for weekly programming, the company would expect better deals than they are on currently. Fox reportedly pays $205 million a year to broadcast SmackDown and Comcast pays $265 million a year to broadcast Monday Night Raw.

Following the merger with the Endeavour Group, now known as TKO Group Holdings, this will be the first time that the company has attempted to negotiate new media rights deals since being under new ownership.
