WWE Files Trademark For New Ring Name

When WWE sign new talent it is commonplace for them to assign new ring names for the budding Superstars in order for them to better control the intellectual property for both the present time and as the talents career journey continues.

Future title winning Superstars like Seth Rollins, Bayley and Roman Reigns, for example, were all christened with new monikers ahead of their NXT debuts and the company has added to their list of trademarks with a recent filing for a potential new Superstar.

WWE Register Kelani Jordan Trademark

On Tuesday May 9th, WWE filed a new trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark office for ‘Kelani Jordan’. The name has been registered as the new in-ring name of former award winning Michigan State gymnast Lea Mitchell.

WWE are believed to have high hopes for the former 23 time event winning gymnast who was signed by the company after a successful tryout during SummerSlam weekend in Nashville, Tennessee last year.
