WWE Files New Trademark Involving Former World Champion

A new trademark has been filed by WWE.

WWE has recently filed for several trademarks. Last month, the promotion filed for trademarks involving Roman Reigns and Dominik Mysterio. Before that, the Stamford-based promotion had filed for trademarks involving Reigns and John Cena.

According to a recent report, on November 22nd, 2024, the promotion filed a trademark for ‘RKO’, former World Champion Randy Orton’s finishing move in wrestling.

Mark For: RKO trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal;

Providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

After a brutal piledriver from Kevin Owens a few weeks ago, Orton was reportedly sidelined with a cervical injury.

Latest Update On WWE Star Randy Orton’s Injury

On the November 8th episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens dropped Randy Orton with a banned piledriver leaving him breathless on the wrestling mat. Soon enough, Orton had to be carried out on a stretcher.

Returning from a career-threatening injury last year, The Prizefighter again jeopardized Orton’s career. A few days after the incident, more details on Randy Orton’s injury were shared on social media.

Randy Orton has been diagnosed with a cervical cord neurapraxia. There is no timetable for his return.”

Cervical cord neurapraxia is a temporary neurological deficit that occurs after trauma to the cervical spinal cord and is very common in athletes. Normally, the resolution time for the issue in adults ranges between 15 minutes to 48 hours.

Already suffering from back issues, the cervical cord neurapraxia can prove fatal for The Viper. Fans need to hope for his safe recovery.
