As WWE goes extreme in Philadelphia, follow all of the action from Extreme Rules 2022 right here.
Titles will be decided and careers may be shortened as WWE rolls into Extreme Rules. There is also the small matter of the ‘white rabbit’ vignettes to be resolved and the potential return of Bray Wyatt.
In the opening match of the night the Brawling Brutes and Imperium will look to finally settle their longstanding issues in an Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook match. Just 24 hours ago Sheamus and Gunther went to war over the Intercontinental Championship, and they will be looking to renew hostilities one more time.
Elsewhere, Ronda Rousey looks to regain the SmackDown Women’s Title in an Extreme Rules Match against Liv Morgan. The rivalry has ebbed and flowed over recent months, but with no rules and no disqualifications, could this be Rousey’s time to claim the gold once again?
Another grudge match finds Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross squaring off in a Strap Match. Since returning to WWE, Kross and Scarlett have set their sights on destroying the Scottish Warrior but McIntyre won’t go down without a fight.
Bayley also attempts to win the Raw Women’s Title from Bianca Belair in the first-ever women’s singles Ladder Match. Should Bayley score the win, it will be the first time she’s held the title since 2017. It would also mean Damage CTRL hold every women’s main roster title apart from the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Although Finn Balor admitted he didn’t think the match would ever happen, he will be going one-on-one with Edge in an “I Quit” Match. The two men have been on a collision course since June when Balor joined Judgment Day and Edge was removed as the group’s leader.
Finally, another first will see Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle brawl in a Fight Pit Match with Daniel Cormier as the special guest referee. The match has never been seen outside of NXT, and is sure to be a brutal affair, as this intensely personal feud heads towards it’s conclusion.
