A recent addition to WWE’s creative department has named several stars from across the wrestling world as some of his favourites outside of the company.
Fightful Select broke the news that Rob Fee will be joining WWE full-time in October as the company’s new Director of Long-Time Creative.
Fee has worked as a horror writer in the past for Marvel, earning plaudits for his work along the way. This has included writing comics for Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Avengers, as well as being the head writer on several Disney shows.
Interestingly, Fee who is said to be a long-time follower of wrestling and “very familiar” with the current product, once pitched a movie involving The Fiend. The proposal reportedly “resonated well” with a number of WWE higher-ups and there was a genuine possibility that the movie could actually come to fruition before Bray Wyatt’s original release.
On social media, Rob Fee was asked about some of his favourite wrestling stars from outside of WWE and he named several including stars of AEW, NJPW, and IMPACT Wrestling:
“Oh man… Tony Deppen, Jamie Hayter, Will Ospreay, Mike Bailey, Hikaru Shida, Santana Jackson, Black Taurus, Willow Nightingale, Naito, Jack Cartwheel, Daniel Garcia, Ibushi, How many am I allowed to list lol?”
