A new report has seemingly confirmed Roman Reigns’ opponent at WWE Elimination Chamber as the road to WrestleMania continues.
With the wrestling world still buzzing from the Royal Rumble, it appears that little time has been wasted in planning for the future.
The Rumble went off the air with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens laying broken in the ring following a segment that will undoubtedly be spoken about for years to come. In the main event of the show Reigns successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Owens, but that was only half of the story.
The Tribal Chief had demanded that Zayn be by his side at all times during the match. This led to Zayn becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the action unfolding in front of him. After Reigns won the match he and The Bloodline attacked Owens and left him handcuffed to the ropes.
Reigns was about to hit him with a steel chair, but Zayn stepped in. This led to Reigns telling Zayn he was going to do the honours, but Zayn eventually hit the head of The Bloodline instead. In response, Zayn was left laying by Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
Although interestingly, Jay Uso wanted no part of the attack and left, walking out on The Bloodline. Jey followed this up with a post on social media which claimed that he was now done with the group.
With fans on the edge of their seats waiting to see what comes next, a new report seemingly has the answers.
Update On WWE Elimination Chamber
It has been noted by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Zayn will be facing Reigns at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 18th. The event is set to take place in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Canada.
“Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn is now as confirmed as it can be for the 2/18 Elimination Chamber show main event in Montreal.”
This information tallies with an earlier report from WrestlingNews.Co which noted back in November that Reigns would face Owens at the Royal Rumble before meeting Zayn at Elimination Chamber.
