WWE El Grande Americano shocked fans with a new look.
The Luchador stepped into the ShowCenter ring on September 7, 2025, wearing a brand-new mask, featuring bold red, white, and green stripes, with a fierce eagle motif on the forehead. The arena, known to hold over 5,000 fans for major AAA events, was jam-packed for the #AlianzasAAA main event. The WWE star’s matching fit and boots completed a cohesive look that blended classic lucha libre flair with a modern touch.

He defeated a beloved luchador, El Fiscal, in the match as the referee raised his hand high above his head. Americano is known for his prominent red, white, and blue mask that covers his entire face, a staple of Lucha Libre tradition. The overall gear sticks to a patriotic theme, representing the American Flag’s colors. However, this new theme resembled Mexico’s national flag’s color scheme, where the event was scheduled.
There have been a lot of rumours about the real identity of this great luchador, with a few people claiming it’s Chad Gable or Ludwig Kaiser. But nothing has been confirmed yet, as concealing the identity of the wrestler is a tradition amongst Luchadors.
El Grande Americano’s WWE Run
Americano debuted on Monday Night RAW on March 24, 2025, against another luchador, Dragon Lee, and he won through submission. This led to his WrestleMania just a month after the main roster debut at WrestleMania 41, where he replaced Rey Mysterio in a singles match against Lee.
Since then, Americano has been a dominant presence in WWE. He is known for using a metal plate as a weapon, hiding it under his mask, and headbutting his opponents. He recently sided with Dominik Mysterio, despite having a Fatal Four-Way match against The Judgment Day member, Lee, and the AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo. Americano even helped Mysterio defend his Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles at Monday Night RAW after the Clash in Paris PLE.
El Grande is set to go up against AJ Styles on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW.
