WWE has seemingly dropped all plans to bring back a popular stable.
Ever since the Hurt Business fell apart in April 2021, fans have been calling for the faction to be brought back together. The group was formed in June 2020 by MVP who began working with Bobby Lashley to take him to the top of the company.
The pair eventually recruited Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin, and a run of success wasn’t far behind. Over the following months Lashley became WWE Champion and Alexander & Benjamin won the Raw Tag Team Titles.
In recent months it has been reported that WWE was looking at bringing back the faction, with Alexander and Benjamin reuniting with MVP, while the figurehead attempted to get Lashley back onside. Both MVP and Lashley have also spoken openly about reuniting the group.
However, it appears that a reunion won’t be happening. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE has “totally dropped” plans for the group.
“They have started it and totally dropped it. Yeah, I mean, we haven’t seen MVP around. We haven’t seen Cedric or Shelton around, nothing,”
WWE Raw Subject To Numerous Late Changes
The April 10th episode of Raw underwent significant changes, with multiple segments being rewritten. A number of stars reportedly faced travel problems, and it was believed that as much as 50% of the roster hadn’t made it to the arena by the start of the show.
