WWE announced their return to Saudi Arabia for WWE Crown Jewel in November.
WWE were last in Saudi Arabia for the Elimination Chamber back in February of 2022. At that event, Bianca Belair won the women’s version of the Elimination Chamber to earn a chance at the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38, and Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship when he was victorious in the men’s version of the chamber match.
On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Corey Graves announced that WWE would be returning to Saudi Arabia later this year when they hold the 2022 edition of WWE Crown Jewel on November 5th in Riyadh. There was no word on which arena will host the event.

Last year’s edition of WWE Crown Jewel took place in October of 2021, and was a history-making affair in a number of ways. Not only did the show host the first ever Queen’s Crown Tournament (which was won by Zelina Vega), but the first Hell in a Cell match to be held in Saudi Arabia was also the first match in the country to be officiated by a woman. The event also featured the first WWE pay-per-view bout between two Muslim competitors when Mansoor took on Mustafa Ali.
Back in 2017, WWE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia entered a partnership that sees WWE put on two shows per year in the country. The deal is set to last for ten years, expiring in 2027.
