WWE have appointed a new Director of Long-Time Creative who once made a very interesting pitch regarding Bray Wyatt.
A new report has revealed that WWE have added a new director to their staff in the form of Rob Fee. The report from Fightful Select notes that Fee will start full-time this October under the title of Director of Long-Time Creative.
Fee has worked as a horror writer in the past for Marvel, earning plaudits for his work along the way. This has included writing comics for Spider-Man, Daredevil and Avengers, as well as being head writer on several Disney shows.
Interestingly, Fee who is said to be a long-time follower of wrestling and “very familiar” with the current product, once pitched a movie involving The Fiend. The proposal reportedly “resonated well” with a number of WWE higher ups and there was a genuine possibility that the movie could actually come to fruition. However, Wyatt was released shortly after the pitch was made, ending that particular idea.
Fightful add that they have been told that one of Fee’s early projects has been the direction and production of the QR code, ‘white rabbit’ cryptic teases.
It had previously been reported that the person behind the teases will be revealed at WWE Extreme Rules on October 8th. The report also states that the mastermind will indeed prove to be Bray Wyatt.
Bray Wyatt hasn’t appeared on WWE television since the night after WrestleMania 37. At the showpiece event he had been defeated by Randy Orton. After disappearing from view, Wyatt was released by the company on July 31st 2021.
