As per Fightful, the contract details of those EVOLVE stars who signed with WWE last month have been revealed.
In October, Inside the Ropes reported that several former EVOLVE wrestlers including Brandi Lauren (Skyler Story), Anthony Greene (August Grey), Curt Stallion and current NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff had signed WWE contracts and were unveiled as the latest set of Performance Center recruits.
Now, Fightful have obtained details on the contracts the stars signed. As first reported in Fightful Select, the initial deals were worth $60,000 downside guarantees with added bonuses for each television appearance they make.
The official statement from the website reads:
We’ve learned about the deals that several of the incoming or recent WWE signings are on. The initial deals are worth $60,000 downside guarantees, with added $500 bonuses with each episode of television that they end up on. We’re told that some of the original short-term agreements jump up to $80,000-$85,000 in January, and the bonuses will increase significantly, possibly even tripling for television appearances.
It was noted that WWE had signed the stars to significantly shorter contracts than unusual in order that if the new recruits do not meet requirements or their tenure with the company does not work out, then neither part is tied to an extensive deal and all involved can move on to pastures new.
Thus far, August Grey, Leon Ruff and Curt Stallion have all made a splash on WWE and NXT television with Brandi Lauren – renamed Skyler Story – believed to be incoming to the black and gold brand imminently after her re-labelling.
