A new report has claimed that The Hurt Business could soon be back on television but not quite as fans have seen them before.
In recent weeks on Monday Night Raw, MVP has attempted to reunite the group which featured himself alongside Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. The group first came together in the summer of 2020 and saw Lashley win the WWE Championship, and Benjamin and Alexander win the Raw Tag Team Titles. However, much to the dismay of many fans, the group began to be broken up in April 2021.
Interestingly, it appears that the group is now getting back together with a new addition potentially being thrown into the mix. A new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed that there have been talks over a reunion and the inclusion of NXT star Carmelo Hayes.
“Speaking of Hayes, it has been batted around the idea of Hayes in the Hurt Business with MVP, Benjamin, Alexander and Lashley. That was a discussion and not definite. But there has been talk of Hayes coming to the main roster. It probably wouldn’t happen until after April since Bron Breakker vs. Hayes looks to be the main event of the 4/1 NXT show in Los Angeles.”
MVP Wants WWE To Bring Back The Hurt Business
Speaking in a recent interview, MVP said that the decision to break up The Hurt Business by Vince McMahon left everyone “scratching their heads.” However, he added that he was working to get the group back together.
Bobby Lashley has also previously stated that he will “make sure” the faction returns.
