A rising star in WWE looks set for a major push in the new year.
Former NXT Champion Bron Breakker impressed many during his time on the developmental brand and was almost immediately marked as one who would be hugely successful on the main roster.
Following months of outcry from the fans who wanted to see Breakker get called up, the second-generation star was a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match and put on a great showing with 4 eliminations. Officially called up to SmackDown shortly before WrestleMania, the former NXT Champion was later drafted to Raw and has been on a path of destruction ever since after being frustrated that he was not a part of the King of the Ring tournament.
On the June 3rd episode of Raw, Breakker took part in his latest against Ricochet that once again drew praise from fans, in particular the top rope Frankensteiner delivered to the current WWE Speed Champion.
It is not just the fans who have taken notice of Breakker’s recent performances. In an update by WrestleVotes, the company have altered their plans for Breakker and the former NXT Champion is set to be a huge part of WWE when Raw moves to Netflix in January 2025.
I’m told WWE has considerably altered its creative plans for Bron Breakker. The 2nd generation superstar has impressed many higher-ups in his short stint on RAW. A source states Breakker is slated to be a major focus heading into the Netflix era. ‘With his age, speed, look, and pedigree, this rare combination of talents isn’t to be overlooked,’ said the source.
WWE Continues Strong Momentum
Although WrestleMania 40 has now passed and traditionally interest in the product declines until the build-up to SummerSlam, the promotion has still seen its surge in popularity continue with most events selling out and records continuing to be broken. This has also been reflected in WWE NXT, with the show pulling in strong ratings prior to Battleground.
