WWE Confirms Injury To Raw Star

WWE Raw set

WWE has confirmed that one of their Superstars is out of action due to injury.

In a Digital Exclusive backstage segment on the February 28th edition of Monday Night Raw, Piper Niven brutally attacked Candice LeRae.

The attack was in retribution for the loss Niven suffered at the hands of LeRae earlier on in the night. During the match, the Poison Pixie received some surprise help from Nikki Cross, whose interference cost Niven the match.

In the post-match interview, Niven charged LeRae into some flight cases before launching her full force into the wall. As LeRae grimaced in pain clutching her shoulder, Niven told her that her “new pal” Cross also has it coming.

Due to the assault, LeRae has been put on the injured list. On the recent, March 6th episode of Raw the commentary team revealed that she had suffered an AC sprain in her right shoulder. Despite confirming the injury there were no further details provided.

It should be noted that LeRae did compete on WWE Live shows in New York on March 4th and New Jersey on March 5th. On the shows, she participated in six-women tag team matches alongside Asuka and Mia Yim against Damage CTRL.

Candice LeRae Returned To WWE Last Year

LeRae made a sensational return to WWE in 2022 after a lengthy hiatus. She was last seen on WWE programming on NXT in December 2021. During her time away she gave birth to her and husband Johnny Gargano’s first son Quill.

Since her return, she has feuded with Damage CTRL over the Women’s Tag Team Championships and appeared in the Royal Rumble.

Her return last year was another in a long list of surprise returns under Triple H’s new creative regime. Ever since taking charge of WWE’s creative the Game opened to door for several former Superstars to come back to the company.

Stars such as Karrion Kross and Scarlett, Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox and Bronson Reed all made their return to WWE after being released the previous year.
