Just hours ahead of Friday Night SmackDown WWE have announced significant changes to a match with championship implications.
Taking place in Anaheim, California, the September 16th edition of SmackDown will include a Fatal-4-Way tag team match to name the number one contenders for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, currently held by Jimmy and Jey Uso of The Bloodline.
Ahead of show it was announced that The Street Profits would be taking on The New Day, Alpha Academy and Los Lotharios. The bout was actually scheduled to take place on the September 5th episode of Raw, and did actually begin before being halted by a returning Braun Strowman.
However, plans have now been changed again.
WWE have announced that the match will now feature The New Day, Ridge Holland and Butch of the Brawling Brutes, Hit Row and Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.
Also on the show, made official by WWE after Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s invitation on Twitter, is the appearance of Logan Paul, this just days after his comments about the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and how he would win against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
It has since been reported that WWE are set to call a press conference to announce a huge match between Reigns and Paul at Crown Jewel on November 5th.
Elsewhere on the show Bayley will take on Raquel Gonzalez and Sami Zayn will square off against Ricochet.
