WWE Champion Pays Homage To The Rock At Live Event [Video]

One WWE star took inspiration from The Rock at a recent house show.

Over the past few days, members of the Raw and SmackDown roster have been competing across England and Wales as part of the latest overseas tour. The series of live events culminated at the new Co-op Live Arena in Manchester with UFC star Tom Aspinall also in attendance, who joined Cody Rhodes and Gunther in the ring.

In one of 5 championship matches taking place on the night, Jey Uso put the Intercontinental Championship on the line against the man he beat to win the title, Bron Breakker. As captured by WWE’s social media team, Uso decided to take a page out of The Final Boss’s playbook by hitting his own version of The People’s Elbow in front of the UK crowd.

Uso will next be in action on the October 21st episode of Raw and will once again put the title on the line against Breakker. The company will also be returning for more dates in the UK and Ireland in November.

The Rock Responds To Reports

After a lengthy hiatus, the Hollywood star made his return to the company at the end of Bad Blood to stare down Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes after the duo were able to dispatch The Bloodline thanks to an assist from a returning Jimmy Uso. While many suspected that Rock would once again return to the ring at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, a recent report indicated that scheduling conflicts may put these plans into doubt.

Aware of the uncertainty, The Rock recently broke his silence on the rumours.
